Philomena Hearn, and her company Gallery 34 Ltd, bought the stock, and later the company name, of Animal Awareness Ltd in May 2003. Philomena has been a textile designer since leaving college in 1981. She started her own company designing and printing T-shirts and lengths of silk in 1983, and has continued with this skill, running "Philomena Prints" alongside her gallery outlets first in Lampeter, Mid Wales, then Aberaeron, also Mid Wales, then in Llangollen and now in Corwen, North Wales.

Philomena, and members of her family, are often at craft and trade shows around UK and sometimes Europe. This has been Philomena's background in the retail sector. This website is a further development of Gallery 34 Ltd for Animal Awareness and we are also attempting to bring all the strings to Philomena's bow together with links to www.philomenaprints.co.uk and other sites that are closely associated to this particular project.

As the site develops we will also feature items to add to, or complement, the animal themes. Philomena's hand painted ties with animal designs of her own, such as sheep, pigs, cows etc. Hand painted glass with zebra or tiger skin patterns, silk hats with jungle designs and so forth.All now available through her shop in Corwen
